Carly Crawford

Carly is from Memphis, Tennessee, and spent many summers in her youth at camp just outside of Nashville. She is a finance pro with an artist’s heart; Carly combines experience in bookkeeping and tax preparation with nonprofit administration, teaching artistry, and storytelling to meld her love of solving puzzles with her joy in human connection.

Carly earned her Bachelor’s in Drama and Literature from UNC-Asheville and Master’s in Arts Administration from Savannah College of Art and Design and spent a decade performing and teaching at children’s theatres around the country.In 2018, Carly shifted her focus to finance full-time when she began her work as an Enrolled Agent and bookkeeper, primarily working with artists and small businesses.

At Polaris, Carly focuses on managing all things payroll.Whether onstage, in a classroom, or behind a computer, Carly brings a playful energy to her work. She is compassionate, honest, and knowledgeable, and she’s often jokingly been called “the finisher” because of the elation she feels finishing a project.

When work is done, Carly is probably reading while cuddling her pup, playing board games, rehearsing a show, or working on a craft - or stubbing her toes on things because she’s inordinately clumsy.
